How Can You Help Your Child Be Ready for K?

Here Are a Few tips:

  1. Make sure your child knows their first and last name.

  2. Give them opportunities to meet new friends.

  3. Go to a local park, playground or library to play with others.

  4. Practice with crayons, pencils and scissors.

  5. Read aloud and ask questions about the story.

  6. Help your child sit and listen to a story. 

  7. Explore and help them recognize the ABC’s and 123’s in a fun way.

  8. Help them identify and point to letters in the alphabet.

  9. Explore numbers one through 10.

  10. Point to a number and identify it.
