Director of Operations
The E3 School is a state-of-the-art early education model that is setting the standard of
excellence in early education across Virginia. The Director of Operations is an important member
of the leadership team and works closely with the CEO and Chief Innovation and Impact Officer.
The role is responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the school’s day to day
operations, managing teams, creating and implementing policies and procedures, maintaining a
pristine facility, enforcing quality control and ensuring compliance with health and safety
regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations.
- Maintain a state-of-the-art facility that is pristine and a showroom of high quality.
- Enforce policies, procedures and licensing regulations.
- Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure operational excellence, safety and high-quality in every classroom and the school.
- Provide excellent customer service and be responsive to families.
- Maintain a collaborative, positive and professional culture.
- Manage all vendor contracts.
- Review monthly revenue and expense statements.
- Work collaboratively with the accounting and marketing teams.
- Oversee, grow and project enrollment for the mixed-income model in every classroom.
- Attract, recruit and hire the best candidates that have passion for teaching young children.
- Collaborate on the creation of data-driven professional development and coaching plans.
- Direct team members to ensure all files and records (students, staff and building) follow licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee, review and update the school’s VDOE licensing portfolio to maintain full compliance and documentation readiness.
- Oversee and support classroom and student licensing compliance, health and safety documentation, and staff training records.
- Provide support to the CEO on special projects.

Co-Teachers
The co-teacher position is responsible for providing a high-quality early learning environment for all children, implementing the STREAMin3 curriculum and utilizing the tools. Our co-teaching team will work collaboratively to set the stage for learning, implement the curriculum, provide strong teacher-child interactions and create an engaging classroom for all children. Our teachers are brain-builders and build a strong foundation for academic and social learning. Our teachers focus on helping children grow, learn and thrive. Our school is committed to providing a healthy, safe and high-quality environment for every child.
The co-teacher position reports to the the Director of School.
Responsibilities
- Know the licensing regulations and comply.
- Create a fun and engaging classroom filled with conversation, exploration, discovery and play.
- Maintain a clean, organized and high-quality early learning environment.
- Implement the STREAMin3 curriculum and utilize tools every day.
- Monitor health, safety and quality by using Checklists 1.0/2.0.
- Engage in strong teacher-child interactions.
- Prepare daily STREAM activities and engage children in learning.
- Facilitate learning and move around the classroom.
- Follow routines, curriculum activities and set up classroom.
- Use “Banking Time” to build strong relationships with children based upon their interests.
- Use core skills cards, STREAM activity cards and intentional teaching practices every day.
- Participate in professional development and monitor your plan.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s development.
- Develop a strong relationship with families that is built on trust and respect.
- Complete formative assessments for every child.
- Maintain a portfolio for each child to show growth.
- Complete the daily reports for every child.
- Talk to parents about their child’s day and communicate positively.
- Provide individualized, small group and differentiate the learning to meet the needs of all children.
- Use CLASS data and work collaboratively with the coach to improve classroom quality and interactions.

Flex Teachers
The flex teacher is responsible for collaborating with the teachers, staff and management team to assist with the day-to-day operations of our school. Our flex teachers will assist with setting the stage for learning, implementing the curriculum, providing strong teacher-child interactions and creating an engaging classroom for all children.
The flex teacher reports to the Director of School.

- Follow all licensing standards to create a safe & healthy environment.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Assist with STREAMin3 activities (science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math).
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized and safe environment.
- Provide positive interactions with children and families.
- Attend and participate in all professional development & coaching.

We are offering a hands-on Internship opportunity for college students or recent graduates interested in early childhood education. Interns will gain valuable experience supporting classroom teachers, engaging with young children, and learning about innovative practices in a high-quality preschool environment.
