The New E3 School has a BIG announcement: we recently secured a $275,000 grant from the TowneBank Foundation!
The TowneBank Foundation, a nonprofit organization formed by TowneBank in 2001, has provided charitable grants and donations to well over a hundred non-profit organizations throughout the Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina communities. Their mission is to “seek to enhance the quality of life in the communities they serve.”
$25,000 of the grant is a challenge campaign pledge, which will be matched $1 for $1 by the James M. Cox Foundation.
The remaining $250,000 is a multi-year grant, which will fund The TowneBank Scholars Fund. The Scholars Fund will provide scholarships for five children, giving them the opportunity to enroll at The New E3 School for five years. The scholarships will follow each child through kindergarten entry, providing the entire cohort a high quality, consistent and stable early education experience. The TowneBank Scholars Fund will make access to early education a reality for five local children, which will prepare them for academic and lifelong success.
